Gangasagar is a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (14 January), hundreds of thousands of Hindus gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers (puja) in the Kapila Temple. The Gangasagar Mela and pilgrimage is held annually on Sagar Island’s southern tip, where the Ganges enters the Bay of Bengal. This confluence is also called Gangasagar or Gangasagara. Near the confluence is the Kapila Temple. The Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair is the second largest congregation of mankind after the triennial ritual bathing of Kumbha Mela.
Morning Within 10:30* AM pick up from Kolkata City and process for Gangasagar. After reaching ferry point (Lot no 8/Hardwood Point) our representative met with you and provided you ferry tickets & helped you cross the Muriganga river by Ferry/boat. After crossing the river we provide the next vehicle to reach Gangasagar Kapil Muni Temple. Evening your own activities (Experience local Places, Sunset and God Kapilmuni ji sandhya arati) & night stay at Gangasagar near temple.
Morning after holy bath (snnan) Puja at Kapilmuni ji temple and Breakfast at accommodation and check out and proceed back to Kolkata drop for your onward journey with the SWEET MEMORIES of Gangasagar Yatra Dham
